Suzanne Jewell
Suzanne Jewell is the Chief Experience Officer for Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, a 20-acre forest & nature preserve south of Miami. She offers mindful, resilient climate training for tomorrow’s leaders by reconnecting them to Nature today. Founder of the world’s 1st Mindful Pocket Park built at the Sanctuary; it’s a 1/2 acre sensory experience to lower your anxiety and increase your calm. Based on neuroscience combined with the ancient practices of attention training and mindfulness meditation, taking this “Nature Pill” is the most effective climate adaptation tool humans can learn to navigate these tough times. Hailing from Michigan with a background in corporate television and philanthropic endeavors, Suzanne has worked with the Gates Foundation in Ethiopia and sits on board of Philanthropy Miami. She’s received a Masters in Mindfulness Training through the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center, teaches and trains in mindful leadership for The Idea Center at MDC, Babson College’s WIN (Women Innovating Now) program.
