Grant Program

South Florida Nonprofit
Capacity Building Grant.

Direct funding plus technical assistance for emerging nonprofits in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. Funded by Truist Bank.

Eligibility

Who can apply.

  • ·Administrative budget of $500,000 or less
  • ·Located in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach county
  • ·Registered & in good standing with the State of Florida
  • ·Serving low-to-moderate income communities

Built In

More than money.

The grant includes an optional but encouraged Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact (BSRI) training. Nonprofits build a focused storytelling practice plus a one-pager and slide deck to use in funding outreach to banks and partners.

The combination — capital + capacity-building work — is what actually moves a small nonprofit from grassroots to grant-ready.

Grantees

Three nonprofits.
One coalition behind them.

The Capacity Building cohort. Each organization received funding plus technical assistance to strengthen the systems funders look for first.
